Wheelin’ and Dealin’ at Wheeler Mission

This summer our Indianapolis team wheeled in the goods and dealt a whole lot of love for the Wheeler Mission! The Wheeler Mission has been supporting the homeless and in-transition in the Indianapolis community for over 125 years. We are proud to serve in our own backyard and make a difference to our neighbors who are less fortunate.

During the months of April and May, our teams collected numerous items to include clothing, blankets, toiletries and household goods, totaling 10 large boxes, along with some backpacks and bags. In mid-June, we delivered the goods and spent a solid day of volunteering by sorting through donations, getting our hands dirty (literally), and making tremendous progress towards the success of the Mission’s thrift store. Team member Angela sums it beautifully, “Today was amazing! The people with the Wheeler Mission Thrift Store were blown away by how much this team accomplished! We learned so much and nothing donated is wasted! Every price of clothing we folded equates to two meals being served! I know every person left tired and dirty but with a full heart.”

While day-in and day-out we build it better, this special moment we built for lasting change! In the community. For others. A wheelin’ dealin’ kind of day!
